To stay relevant and in compliance with legislation, sustainability managers face increasing pressure from government regulation and customer needs. LCA software produces internal product performance metrics to accurately track regulated substances from cradle to grave in a product’s life cycle. These performance metrics assist in the management of toxic substances by illustrating, among other factors, recyclability, country of origin and tonnage. AEA’s LCA software will be a primary tool that managers use to navigate through the growing labyrinth of regulation, standards and environmental legislation (1).
