Suppliers of multinational companies and brands are rapidly being introduced to sustainability agendas through competition and governmental regulation. If suppliers cannot meet the needs of global giants like Walmart (2) and IKEA (3) they run the risk of becoming obsolete. Governments are also requiring companies to consider their supply chain impact in order to be eligible vendors (4).
